Highlands Community Church is an active non-denominational multisite church in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with a combined weekend service / classroom attendance of approximately 2000.
Highlands Community Church (HCC) is seeking an Adult Ministries Team (AMT) Leader with a healthy and stable marriage, who is biblically trained, and has disciple making skills and preaching experience. He is to have a heart passion for leading and teaching God’s church in discipleship and evangelism. We are looking for a spiritual leader with a proven ability to work with volunteers and the ability to encourage them while equipping them to be effective disciple makers. This leader is to be elder qualified, with a heart for serving the local church. He should possess a track record of effectiveness in key skill areas of envisioning and administrating a pastoral team, developing small group discipleship, shepherding, and teaching. He must possess seminary training or its equivalency confirmed by ordination, the spiritual gift to teach and preach, and strong oral and written communication skills.
The Senior Pastor, Worship Ministries Team, and AMT create a cohesive team that ministers to our adults through our six weekend services located at the Renton campus and in Kent currently at Kentridge High School. Our preaching team consists of the Senior Pastor, Kent Campus Pastor, and AMT Leader working creatively to bring biblical teaching that is transformational to our congregation.
This position is a member of the Management Team reporting to the Senior Pastor. He is responsible to help create and carry out the vision and direction for the Adult Ministries of HCC. He will lead the Adult Ministries Team and works cooperatively with the other ministries of Highlands. This position leads the Adult Ministry team (AMT) to bring the unchurched to Christ and make devoted disciple makers of HCC’s adults.
This person must possess the qualities of life and practice that demonstrate spiritual maturity and a commitment to healthy team building. This position requires experience in small group discipleship and shepherding people. Our AMT Leader must possess strong relational and conflict management skills, and must have the ability to build and lead teams. He must also display an authentic passion for people to come to know Jesus and grow in a relationship with Him. Biblical training requires completion of seminary or its equivalent experience, confirmed by ordination. Our AMT Leader must also have the spiritual gift to teach and preach, with strong oral and written communication skills.
