Job Description:
NorthStar Community Church is a growing, exciting, multi-cultural church whose mission is "To Know Christ and to Make Him Known" in one of the greatest cities in America.

The Office Assistant (OA) will team with the Senior Pastor, other Pastors and ministry teams to fulfill the purpose and vision of the church. The OA plays a key role supporting all ministries with administrative and secretarial services. The OA must have considerable tact and discernment in dealing with people as the front-line contact for the church including screening calls and scheduling appointments for the Pastoral Staff and channeling requests to others when appropriate. The OA plays a key role in assisting Pastors and other staff to ensure NSCC does ministry in an efficient, professional, confidential and Christ-honoring way. The OA is expected to exercise considerable independence, flexibility, teamwork, cooperation, creativity, and common sense in carrying out responsibilities.

Specific duties will include creating weekly worship presentations (PowerPoint), worship guides (Publisher), updating membership records (database management) and bookkeeping (Quickbooks) plus other areas that will require Word and Excel. Preferred candidate will have worked in a larger church environment. Since this position is viewed as a ministry as well as employment, the chosen candidate will be expected to worship at NorthStar.

Position could be part-time or full-time depending on skills and needs.
