Job Description:
About the Church
LCF originally started out as ‘Lagos Christian Fellowship’ approximately fifteen years ago in Lagos, Nigeria. The initial LCF impetus was as a small house fellowship style church, for evangelical expatriate believers, desiring to continue in Christian fellowship and worship to God, whilst they were resident in Lagos, Nigeria on various work assignments and away from their respective churches in their diverse countries of domicile.
In recognition of the diverse nationalities that is usually found amongst expatriates, and also to serve as a spiritual oasis away from ‘home’ for all expatriates believers’, LCF maintains an interdenominational lay-laid stance, yet has a clearly articulated Statement of Faith. Please refer to the ‘Faith’ page on the website, for the LCF Statement of Faith and Mission.
Around the turn of the new century, 2000, LCF thereafter became more organized in structure with a more formalized lay-led leadership structure, an Eldership and Diaconate, a clearly articulated mode of Sunday worship and various mid-week activities (Ladies Bible Study, Men’s Bible Study, Youth Group, Yearly Retreats, etc.). LCF evolved from the house fellowship format to meeting on Sunday afternoons and now on Sunday mornings.
LCF still retains the international flavor that was part of its foundational bedrock and has had the distinct privilege of having fellow believers from diverse nations from all the five continents on earth participate in its activities over the years.
In recent time LCF has further consolidated on its over one decade long existence by seeking formal registration as Lively Christian Fellowship, a lay-led non-profit Church organization in accordance with the laws of Nigeria, but continues to be generally referred to and known as LCF.
The LCF Church attributes its corporate longevity over the years entirely to the sublime Grace of God, and looks forward to many more years of serving as a spiritual oasis to predominantly the expatriate community within Lagos, Nigeria.
