Position Description
The Chapel Multi-Media Manager for Chapel Programs is responsible for the creative visual content of chapel, chapel aesthetics and is committed to the spiritual development of students. Chapel is held seven times a week.

Examples of Duties
Be committed to the highest level of excellence possible in creatively communicating APU’s chapel curriculum.
Understands chapel’s mission statement, curriculum, and learning outcomes in order to create visual content.
Primary person for creating chapel aesthetics in MWF chapels. Primary video producer for chapel, including post-production editing, directing and producing. Must be proficient in Final Cut Pro and Adobe after effects.
Collaboration with campus pastors for their visual content. Creates graphics using Adobe Photoshop Suite and InDesign.
Must be proficient in live, monitor and studio audio mixing as well as audiovisual, sound, lighting and video equipment. Assists in the managing of program workflow and production of chapels.
Give creative input on chapel calendar, themes, programming and technical needs.
Create and edit chapel schedule on APU website.
Helps to create and envision the themes, ideas, and visual imagery for chapel programming.
Supervise the Graduate Intern who assists with MWF morning chapel and is chiefly responsible for the senior chapel production.
Work collaboratively with the campus pastor over senior chapel for production and creative elements.
This person must communicate well, deal with criticism, work well with others and excel under pressure.
Must possess strong project management skills (i.e. keeping meeting agendas, create plans for chapels using Planning Center, meeting media services deadlines.)
Actively participates in Chapel/Media Services meetings, creating the agenda and tracking production changes from meetings.
Point person for chapel programs’ use of social media to accomplish chapel program mission statement.
Attends weekly programming meetings with Chapel staff.
Assists with organization and implementation of 4 annual retreats.
Performs other duties as requested by the Director of Chapel Programs.

M.A. preferred; B.A. degree required.

Two to four years of production experience required. Creative and organizational planning experience for special events and/or productions for large groups, especially in worship settings.

Strong organizational skills, initiative, flexibility, vision, creativity, sensitivity, good communication skills, solid biblical understanding, basic knowledge of Microsoft and Macintosh applications, multi-tasking. Proficiency in Adobe Suite software, Final Cut pro, Adobe After Effects, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.

Mental Demands
Ability to communicate effectively with administration, staff, faculty, and undergraduate students. Good organizational skills. Ability to keep confidentiality with discretion and good judgment. Ability to take direction and establish trust with others. In agreement with the purpose and goals of Azusa Pacific University in providing a Christian-based higher education for its students.

Physical Demands
Able to reach, bend, grasp, pull. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally, carrying equipment for video shoots. Repetitive keyboard work. Telephone usage-hearing and speaking. Intermittent sitting and standing. Ability to conduct business at other offices on campus.

Visual Demands
Computer monitor, reading.

Pleasant office, comfortable temperature, busy office with, at times, multiple conversations occurring simultaneously.
