Job Description:

* Personally experience the eternal life saving grace of Jesus Christ
* Meet the qualifications of I Timothy 3
* Demonstrated thorough and continuing pursuit of Biblical theology
* Prefer degree from an evangelical seminary
* Demonstrated effective leadership of church body, ministries, and personnel
* Prefer Senior Pastor experience or Associate Pastor experience in larger congregation
* Complete agreement with statement of faith of FBC Independence
* Effectively communicate and teach the Scriptures during the weekly worship services
* Coordinate worship music, etc. with message themes
* Disciple, evangelize, and counsel people of all ages
* Supervise the pastoral and support employees of FBC by mentoring each staff in their respective areas of ministries
* Provide spiritual leadership and vision for the pastoral staff and church leadership
* Leads and participates in hospital visitation, home visits, and prospect contacts
* Conduct baptisms, communions, weddings, funerals, and other services as appropriate
* Nurtures effective lines of communication between staff and lay leadership
* Leads church to develop Acts1:8 mission strategy including mission trips
* Oversee the ministries of FBC Independence
