Chief Financial Officer

Position Summary:
Responsible for directing the organization’s financial policies. Is intimately involved with the audit process and banking relationships. Oversees all financial functions including accounting, payroll, budget, projections, credit, insurance and treasury. Designs and coordinates a wide variety of accounting and data reports. Has a thorough knowledge of accounting concepts, practices and procedures. Works closely with the management team and board of directors. CFO is critical member of the senior leadership team. Will work to formulate and execute a strategic financial plan to improve the financial position going forward.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Ensures financial practices effectively support and reflect the mission statement
• Responsible for cash management, treasury functions and oversight of audit
• Responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining a comprehensive cost control system
• Manages corporate insurance such as Property & Liability, Directors & Officers Liability and other insurance
• Assists in decisions regarding revenue generation opportunities
• Ensures financial integrity and compliance with state and federal programs including but not limited to 501 (c) 3

Requirements & Qualifications:
• MBA preferred
• Minimum of five to ten years experience as a CFO in a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization with $20 million in annual revenue
• Fifteen years direct experience in a financial role
• Solid understanding of audit and attest services
• Experience with financial programs including Excel
• Experience in finance models, forecasting, capital raising, reporting and tax management
• Strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills
• A team leader and a team player, willing to collaborate with a diverse team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Models a genuine Christian faith and lifestyle
• Demonstrates excellent time management, organizational, conflict resolution and judgment skills
