Job Description:
SUMMARY

The Student Ministries Director directly leads LifeBridge Church Middle School and High School Student Ministries, so that an increasing number of students experience a life-changing, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, and learn to reach families in North County San Diego.

A. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required; pursuit of Master’s level theological study preferred.
Five years of experience in Student Ministries in a church or para-church setting.
Ability and passion to develop relationships with and work with Middle School and High School students, adult volunteer leaders, and parents of students.
Skills required include demonstrated abilities to (A) Cast and implement a clear vision for Student Ministries; (B) Recruit, train, supervise, and provide resources for a team of adult volunteer leaders and/or interns; (C) Speak and write in a style that communicates well to both adults and students; (D) Organize regular and special ministry activities, and (E) Follow established administrative policies.
Endorses LifeBridge Church’s mission, vision, core values and faith statement.

B. RESPONSIBILITIES

Directly leads Middle School (MS) and High School (HS) Ministries by casting vision, teaching on Sundays and Wednesdays, planning worship, outreach and service events, meeting with students on campus, and leading Bible studies.
Coordinates joint Sunday morning experience for students and young adults.
Supervises, coaches and resources adult volunteers leaders and/or interns to lead or assist with specific Student Ministries activities or student groups.
Communicates regularly with parents through notices, updates, and meetings. Partners with parents, equipping them to encourage students’ spiritual growth.
Participates regularly with other church staff in Staff Meetings and other activities.
Maintains personal contact with individual students and/or trains and designates trained adult volunteers to maintain contact with individual students.
Coordinates annual Hume Lake Christian Camp trips for MS and HS students.

C. RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to Lead Pastor
Meets with Deacon of Student Ministries.
Coordinates with other members of the LifeBridge Church staff.
