Metro Church is seeking a full time Worship Pastor with a servant’s heart that has knowledge of modern worship music and classic hymns with the ability to incorporate elements of both traditional and contemporary worship. You will oversee spiritual development and creative elements while leading the musical aspect of worship by planning and managing musical components; such as conducting choral music and orchestra, selection/arrangement of music, and development of selection/arrangement of music and development of volunteer leaders for bands, orchestras, and choirs.

-A calling from the Lord to minister using music, arts, drama, choir and other creative elements
-A high-energy and relational leadership style
-A minimum of 3 years experience in directing worship and arts ministry of a church 250+
-A bachelor’s degree education level or higher
-A team player who is committed to developing people and teams around oneself
-A music degree required

Essential Responsibilities:
1.Proficiency on guitar or piano with proven experience in performing, training, and directing an eclectic - group of musicians in a variety of musical genres
2.Plan, coordinate, and present music for all Sunday worship services
3.Recruit, schedule, develop, and mentor volunteer instrumentalists, vocalists, and sound techs
4.Pastoral presence on the platform with an ability to engage the heart of the people through music and words
5.Oversee worship, band, drama and orchestra
6.Plan, coordinate, and present seasonal musicals
7.Steward the budget for worship and arts ministries
8. Direct the organization and implementation of a comprehensive church worship program including choirs, vocal and/or instrumental ensembles, drama teams and A/V teams
9. Strong choral conducting experience
10.Have or willing to become knowledgeable in lighting, sound, and presentation software, as well as be able to assist in these production components group of musicians in a variety of musical genres.
11.Plan and implement outreach events and opportunities for the worship and arts dept.
12.Work with other church staff in planning and implementing events and general church programming
13.Perform other duties as assigned
