Job Title: Production Associate (Lighting and Sound)
Job Type: Full-Time (includes weekends)
The Worship Arts Department of Savannah Christian Church is currently seeking a talented sound and lighting technician who is great team builder. If you are someone who loves to work in live production scenarios — Live lighting, sound reinforcement, rigging, staging, volunteer teams, set design/construction, etc. — then YOU are what we’re looking for.
Experience Required: a Bachelor’s degree in audio/video production or a related field is preferred. Consideration will be given to candidates having experience and demonstrated proficiency in field. Exhibit excellent skills in the areas of concert/theatre lighting and live sound engineering. A Demo reel is preferred.
Knowledge, skills, and gifts: Candidate must exhibit excellent skills in the areas of concert/theatre lighting and live sound engineering. Excellent understanding and skills with DMX universes, repair and maintenance of intelligent fixtures and proficiency in programming and use of programmable lighting and audio consoles (SCC uses Jands lighting consoles, Avid Venue and Yamaha LS9 audio consoles). Candidate must have the ability to work independently with efficiency, effectiveness and composure; must have excellent written and verbal communication skills; and must be able to multitask and prioritize work assignments. Candidate must exhibit excellent organizational and interpersonal relational skills. The ability to recruit, train and develop volunteers is an essential part of this position. Must possess a friendly attitude, a willingness to work collaboratively with others, and have a strong heart for service.
