Job Description:
Wildwood Chapel is a located 20 minutes north west of Pittsburgh, Pa. Our worship band consists of drums, keyboard, guitars and vocals and our worship expression is contemporary, vibrant and celebratory. We are a full gospel Spirit filled independent church that embraces the baptism in the Holy Spirit and experience the continuing gifts of Holy Spirit with signs and wonders following all who believe. We believe in the inspiration and inerrancy of scripture and uphold the Bible as God’s Word. We teach Jesus as the only way to the Father and the only means for salvation. We attempt to govern our lives by the “great commandment” and believe the carrying out of the “great commission” is the responsibility of every believer. We are seeking a Student Ministries Pastor to minister to Junior and Senior high students. To teach, equip and disciple students to develop a Biblical Worldview and a Jesus honoring lifestyle. Youth pastor would hold weekly meetings, special outreach events discipleship and leader development and evangelism of youth. Youth pastor will be responsible to develop vision, create their own unique program and work with and train volunteers and parents. Job skills needed in brief would be a passion to reach junior and senior high students for Christ and to empower them for life transformation, discipleship and evangelism. A passion for God’s Word and worship. A desire to see teens experience the presence of God and to encounter His life transforming love and power. Individual should demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, be teachable, a team leader and player. Individual would need to be a self starter, self motivated hard working laborer for the harvest. Person should demonstrate Christ like qualities and be approaching and striving toward character development as outlined in 1Timothy chapter 3 and Titus 1. Candidate would work closely with the senior pastor and continuing mentoring and equipping will be provided. Approximately 70% of ministry time would be dedicated to youth ministry with the remaining time given to oversight and leadership to children's ministry. Use of your skill sets and giftings would be utilized for maximum impact in ministry. Worship leading and music skills would be a hugh plus. We are all about relationship with Jesus and each other. A married individual with or without children is preferred but not a requirement. This would be a full time position and include a 3-4 bedroom two bathroom house as part of the compensation package.
