WORSHIP MINISTER, Part Time
The Worship Minister works with the Worship Planning Team, church members, ministers, and staff to plan, coordinate, and present worship activities, and other special events, for the Woodmont Hills Family of God.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ROLES
Life of Worship: Models a heart and lifestyle of worship.
Relationship Development: Makes God-centered, Christ-focused, relationship development a priority in this ministry, as well to the church family at large.
Leadership: Leads spiritually, mentoring others to spiritual formation and transformation; Leads administratively, coordinating worship planning and execution; Leads artistically, using skills and gifts to facilitate worship through various avenues of expression.
Worship and Event Coordination: Works with technicians, staff, ministers, leaders, lay members, and worship ministry volunteers to coordinate worship activities.
Ministry Integration: Works with other ministers, and ministries, to realize the mission and vision of the Woodmont Hills Family of God.
RELATIONSHIP & REPORTING
The Worship Minister reports to the Ministry Oversight Committee, and the Shepherds.
Meets weekly with the worship planning team to plan worship activities.
Recruits, inspires, and utilizes gifted volunteers.
Oversees, coordinates, trains, and rehearses praise teams.
Oversees, coordinates, and trains worship leaders.
Partners with the preaching minister to execute worship services.
Leads worship at least once a month.
Coordinates individuals participating in worship services, with the worship ministry assistant.
Supervises the ministry assistant in preparation of ProPresenter presentations.
Researches, obtains, and teaches new music when appropriate.
Creates unity, bridging the diversity of generations, demographics, and traditions by strategic use of participants, musical styles, venues, and avenues in worship.
Spiritual Life –Has a strong Christian testimony, a growing relationship with Christ, a Spirit-led walk, a lifestyle of worship, and a theology compatible with the leadership of Woodmont Hills Family of God.
Leadership Qualities– Is visionary, enthusiastic, decisive, organized, creative, flexible, and communicates effectively.
People skills – Possesses the interpersonal skills to work well with ministers, staff, church leaders, volunteers, planning team members, praise team members, worship leaders, and choral ensembles.
Talents- Skilled, knowledgeable, and gifted in music, fine arts, church liturgy, and non-musical avenues of worship expression. Possessing keyboarding, music reading, and music arranging skills. Has vocal skills suitable to performance and congregational leading.
Passion for Unity- committed to excellence in worship while balancing traditional, generational and demographic diversity.
Administration – Possesses the organizational, planning, communication, and time-management skills to properly support the functioning of the worship ministry.
Experience - Minimum of 3 years of demonstrable performance experience in Worship or Choral music setting. Vocal audition will be required.
Education – Bachelor’s degree in music education preferred.
