Job Description:
Tucker Church seeks a Part-time Discipleship Division Director

Staff Responsibilities:

Discipleship Now, Connections, Discipleship / Spiritual Formation, Youth, Children, Christian Leadership Development Center

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Lead the church in planning, coordinating, and evaluating a discipleship strategy to fulfill the mission of the church
• Serves as the discipleship/educational resource person and advisor to the leaders of the church’s discipleship processes
• Work within the church’s guidelines to select, enlist, and train qualified leaders
• Coordinate the production of informational and public relations materials, such as church publications and news releases
• Develop special educational and training projects such as camps, retreats, and study seminars for various groups within the congregation
• Lead the church to be aware of the educational and curriculum materials available and lead the church to choose the most appropriate
• Implement a discipleship strategy that facilitates the development of believers at every age and stage in life to develop into fully mature, devoted followers of Christ
• Prepare an estimated annual education budget and administer the approved budget
• Supervise appropriate church staff and volunteers as assigned
• Keep informed on methods, materials, principles, procedures, promotion, and administration as related to the discipleship program
• Perform other duties as assigned

Ability to communicate effectively; strategically plan, organize, develop, motivate, and supervise personnel. Patience, people skills, Christian maturity and theological acumen essential

Qualifications / Knowledge:
Masters degree (Master of Christian Education and/or M.Div. etc.) with an emphasis in Discipleship, Christian Education, Spiritual Formation or other related field; preferably a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) degree. Four to five years of supervisory experience in Christian ministry.
