217church, a fast growing church plant located in central NJ, which has chosen to renew, rebuild and restore the community one person at a time by living differently and serving relentlessly.
The Children’s Ministry team leader is responsible for all aspects of children's ministry from newborn to 5th grade. This includes incorporating the vision of the church within children’s ministry, providing leadership to and developing the ministry and its coworkers, and communications with parents, coworkers and fellow staff.
A.Visionary Leadership: Provide inspirational vision to the co-workers and the leadership team for children’s ministry that aligns with the overall 217 vision. This involves sharing a fresh vision for children’s ministry as it applies to both those within 217 and those that live in the local community. Must be passionate in establishing plans to serve the kids in our community.
B.Co-worker Development /Training: Recruit, Train, Encourage and Develop new co-workers and program leaders who love kids ensuring high quality care and teaching in our 217kids ministry.
C.Ministry Development: Develop a program that ensures an enthusiastic high energy multi dimensional environment where kids can experience church, learn the bible and be introduced to who Jesus is, in a fun and creative and personal way. Oversee the development of teaching materials for children.
D.Communications: Be exceptional in relational communication so that:
+ each new family gets a timely personal touch
+ parents share a passion for the ministry
+ coworkers and children are cared for
+ staff share vision and can support appropriately
Essential Skills, Abilities & Expectations

* Ability to clearly detail and communicate goals and objectives.
* Self-motivated in building, investing in and caring for the ministry team
* Team player that works well with the church staff team
* Administrative capabilities
* Church planting experience a definite plus
