Job Description Summary:
The Worship Arts Associate Director’s role is to provide worship leading support and oversight to designated worship arts teams in an effort to help the congregation become more “Worship Driven”, and to serve the vision of the Director of Worship Arts (WAD). This position reports to the WAD. This is a part-time (20 hrs/week), salaried, support level position.

Specific Responsibilities:
• Leadership:
o Lead musical worship 9 out of 10 weekends (any combination of Saturdays, and Sundays in the Sanctuary or Upper Room). The schedule to be determined by Worship Arts Director and to compliment the WAD’s schedule so as to provide consistent presence in each venue.
• Lead Coordinator:
o Be a point of contact for various ensembles (as determined by the WAD) which could include dance, drama, art gallery, and/or others.
o Provide vision and support to each group as well as work towards levels of excellence within the leadership structure of these groups.
• Weekend Services:
o Write, arrange, transcribe music for services in which this position serves as the worship leader.
o Be capable of providing all band and vocal charts as needed for these services.
• Program Development:
o Work with the Worship Arts Director to incorporate the department’s mission, vision and values in the weekend services as well as outside the walls of the church.
o Assist the Worship Arts Director with all multi-campus duties (New Member’s Classes, All Staff Meetings/ Retreats, Maundy Thursday Service, Thanksgiving Eve Service).
• Additional Responsibilities:
o Attend all required staff meetings (Staff “Kudos & Prayer”, Monthly CCC All Staff, Annual Retreat, etc.).
o Keep regular office hours (as much as possible).

• Character:
o A Christ honoring life marked by personal holiness, prayer, bible study, spiritual and emotional maturity and increasing dependence on the Holy Spirit (Titus 1:6-9, 1 Timothy 3:1-7).
o Unquestionable integrity specifically in areas of handling finances, relationships and time management.
o A man/woman with a spirit of submission, eagerness, flexibility, a teachable spirit and a sense of humor!
• Competency:
o Pastoral gifting – naturally shepherds.
o Vocal/musical gifting with a teaching ability.
o Piano playing and reading skills, ability to accompany a vocal rehearsal.
o Experience with Music Programs like Logic, Protools, etc.
o Experience in team building, team logistics and leadership with a proven record of serving others and working with others to carry out ministry.
o Takes personal initiative and is always learning from books, experience, others and difficulties with a commitment to excellence.
o Solid computer skills with MS Office program (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), Finale music notation software.
o Willing and capable of learning basic use of our Fellowship One Database system.
• Convictions:
