Worship/Youth Leader

Hamlin Assembly of God
Hamlin, Pennsylvania, United States

Date Posted: 07/18/2011
Categories: Worship Pastor - Youth Pastor
Denominations: Assemblies of God
Church Size: 251 to 350
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Description:
The position is for a full-time worship/youth leader. Candidates must be comfortable leading traditional and contemporary worship from a keyboard. If you do not play the keyboard, please pass on this opportunity. A qualified candidate might NOT be a seasoned worship leader, but must be able to play the keyboard and sing well. Worship leading skills will be honed on the job. The person chosen for this position will be mentored by the senior pastor with the possibility that the position will work into a larger position, with full compensation, in the not too distant future. Until such time, your pay will be enough to cover moderate school loans, food, gas, car insurance and spending money. Housing will be provided at the church. In the 1960's when the church hall was built, a bedroom with a full bath was included in the structure. It was used originally to house visiting missionaries. It is a fairly good sized, private room with a private bath adjoining. It is a nice set up, clean and neat. Cooking etc. would be done in the church kitchen 10 feet away. This is not a set-up for a family with children. No pets. A couple might make it work.

Why should someone consider this? You will be immersed in the ministry of a 200 person local A/G church. You will gain invaluable experience working alongside the senior pastor transitioning a 97 year old Assemblies congregation. You will fill-out your resume and be challenged in every area of ministry. You will be directly responsible for the youth program and all worship arts in the church. You will be given opportunity to preach to the congregation in the main service. You will be strongly encouraged to seek licensure and finally ordination with the Assemblies.

If you are loyal, motivated, love Jesus with all your heart, and are willing to dedicate your life to His church and the Kingdom of God please email the senior pastor, Dr. David R. DeCan:
