Purpose Statement:
To serve LifePoint Church by leading & aligning children (Birth to 5th grades) to accomplish LifePoint Church’s and Children’s visions and goals (e.g. Partnering with and Equipping Parents). To lead Children’s team to seek, attract and win children to Christ, build them toward Christ like maturity and equip and reproduce them all for God’s glory
Responsibilities:
• Oversee normal Children’s operations including weekend (large group and small group) and event (VBS, Easter Family Picnic, Fall Festival, Baby Dedications, Baptisms, Parent Equipping Night, etc.) ministries. This will involve leading and managing purposes of God (see 5M’s below), people (staff, lay leaders, volunteers), programs (camps, retreats, trips), processes, procedures and property (budget funds, facilities coordination)
• Communicate, plan, implement and account church wide vision and goals from Sr. Pastor and Leadership Team to Children’s team
• Develop, communicate, plan, implement and account Children’s vision and goals Developed goals should be purposeful:
• Membership: Seek, attract and win children to Christ
• Maturity: Build children toward Christ like maturity
• Ministry: Meet the unique needs of children and help them to discover their unique service in the body of Christ
• Missions: Equip children to share the Good News of Jesus Christ
• Magnification: Equip and facilitate the growth of worship individually and corporately
Requirements:
• Actual experience as Children's Minister or Pastor of at least 200 kids
• Native or local to Dallas/Fort Worth, North Texas area
• Passion and love for Jesus and God
• Young and energetic with a passion and love for children
• Evangelistic heart. Wants to grow the ministry not maintain it
• A master's degree. Seminary degree preferred
• A stable and growing disciple of Jesus Christ
Compensation:
$40K - $50K with benefits depending on position requirements, experience and education
