about the campus pastor role
the campus pastor exist to lead and shepherd our central campus at the 6 pm Saturday service as well as 9 and 11 am Sunday services. They insure that the campus is growing in attendees, belongers, leaders, givers and believers. They work alongside our staff teams and with their campus lead teams in strategic planning and execution of the vision for the campus. The campus pastor partners with the teaching team in the development of weekend messages and is a consistent upfront presence as a host or teacher.

about the position
This position is a full-time, 40 hours/week, permanent position with full benefits. It is expected that this employee would work weekends and in turn, have 2 weekdays off instead. This position reports to Todd Proctor and Stacy Scott. Staff members are expected to adhere to rockharbor’s leadership guidelines [which can be provided upon request].

Central 6-9-11 Campus Pastor

• Ensure the campus is growing in attendees, belongers, leaders, givers and believers.
• Ensure campus is having a mission impact in their city and experiencing depth of community.
• Translate big ROCKHARBOR vision into action on the campus.

supervisor role
• Raise up a lead team for weekend campus oversight and meet regularly with team to ensure alignment. Identify a person to oversee each area [such as: equipping, connecting, reach, community life, families] all connected to RH Central teams.
• Lead Staff team and Campus Lead team. Have regular team meetings, one-on-one appointments and lead teams in the strategic planning and calendaring for your campus.
• Care for and shepherd campus-specific volunteers and leaders
• Meet often with key ROCKHARBOR staff Coaches for vision, support, alignment, and partnership
• Regularly assess and evaluate the health of the campus. Putting programs and ministries into place as needed
• Manage and approve your campus staff’s hours worked and time off requests through EZLM.
• Develop, oversee and approve expenses for the budgets and in and out accounts of the campus.

• Partner with teaching team in development of weekend messages.
• Participate in the weekly message debrief after the Saturday night service for weekends that you are teaching.
• Be a consistent, upfront presence as host or teacher at weekend services.
• Devote time throughout the week to studying God’s Word, prayer in preparation for the weekend message.
• Embody RH teaching and celebration values.

weekend gatherings
• Act as an “on location” point person and authority for weekend gatherings.
• Ensure the weekend services are consistent with ROCKHARBOR DNA, expectations, and values.
• Work with existing ROCKHARBOR coaching staff to establish weekend teams and best practices for those teams.

general pastoral
• Attend Pastor’s Roundtable or required Pastoral Team meetings.
• Partner with staff members and/or volunteers to meet campus pastoral or crisis care needs.
• Cover the pastoral care phone on a scheduled basis.
• Provide pastoral coverage for weddings and funerals.
• Network pastorally with other churches.
• Be a spiritual leader/mentor to the ROCKHARBOR community and model a godly lifestyle in marriage, family, and ministry.

• Consistent and significant teaching experience in a large group setting. (5-10 years experience preferred)
• Ability through proven experience to empower and direct others.
• Skilled communicator and adept at interpersonal relationships.
• Exhibits a heart for evangelism and a deep desire to reach the lost for Christ.
• Ability to articulate clear vision and/or purpose.
• Displays a proven value for team.
• Must agree with ROCKHARBOR’s statement of faith.
