Job Description:
Join the progressive San Ramon Valley United Methodist Church for an exciting and challenging opportunity as a full-time Director of Children and Youth Ministries. You will partner with the Sr. Pastor, the Children and Youth Committees, parents, and staff in encouraging and enabling individuals to become faithful followers of Jesus Christ. You will plan, implement and participate in a comprehensive Christian program of Children and Youth Ministry activities, including: Sunday School programs, youth group meetings, weekend retreats, conferences, service projects, mission trips and fund raising events. Strong communication and relationship skills will be needed to manage multiple constituencies, recruit, train, and encourage adult members of SRVUMC to become youth leaders and Sunday School teachers, and continue to grow the size and scope of the programs.

Required Skills/Background:
College Degree or equivalent experience
Christian curriculum development proficiency
Children/Youth leadership experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Internet and social networking expertise
Strong Leadership and organizational skills
