Who We Are: We are an evangelical church in the Reformed tradition with a rich and dynamic history in Ventura. Our passion and work is to bring honour to God by expanding the Kingdom of his Son. We are committed to making a difference in our city and beyond. This we do through extravagant and joyous worship, trained and committed disciples, and numerous ministries of outreach, care, evangelism, and education. We are looking at this season in our life to raise the quality and depth of our worship and thus we seek a Director of Worship. We are looking for someone who will join our team and work with us to make our worship the very best it can be.

The Person We Desire: We seek a person whose life is shaped by a passionate love for the Lord Jesus, anointed leading of the Holy Spirit, and obedient submission to the Father together manifesting in a vibrant, growing, and vital relationship with the Triune God of grace. We seek a person possessing a strong sense of call to worship ministry in the church with the passion, gifts, personality and stamina necessary to fulfill this call. We desire a person of rich creativity and the skills needed to lead music ministries and the congregation in its worship and adoration of our God.

What This Person Will Do: The worship leader is responsible for providing the primary shape and content of each worship service. This includes planning services, choosing music and other elements within the services, and leading the Gratis Service (contemporary/Postmodern) praise team. The primary focus of the position will be with this service. The Director of Worship Ministries will also provide leadership and spiritual guidance to everyone involved in the worship ministries of CPC. This person unites, leads, inspires, teaches, and cares for the teams and persons that make worship happen, at and through Community Presbyterian Church.

Job Status: Full Time, position open, seeking applications
Experience Required - Demonstrated credentials and proven experience in planning, preparing, and leading worship in various settings and styles
Education Required - Any musical, educational, or theological training is a plus! Must be teachable, and willing to learn and be part of a team.
