Job Description: Student Ministries Director / Pastor, Brooke Hills Free Methodist Church
BHFMC is looking to add a qualified and passionate leader to our ministry staff. We have an immediate opening for a full time student ministries director and/or pastor who will develop and have oversight of all ministries at BHFMC for students in 6th grade through college.

Our mission here at BHFMC is to worship and love God in order to see people loved, saved, changed, mended and sent to serve. Our full expectation is that students from 6th grade – college can not only take part in this mission, but will be critical in fulfilling this mission to the glory of God. BHFMC is in the midst of a facility expansion to include a new sanctuary and lobby, in addition to remodeled nursery, preschool and children/ youth multi ministry space. Strong growth is expected and we are looking to add staff that will aid the Church in the years ahead. Our website is

BHFMC is a growing community of believers that is ridiculously serious about reaching those who are not presently walking with Jesus and helping everyone deepen their commitment to our Lord and Savior. We desire that both the young and old become disciples of Jesus and ultimately be example leaders in the world that we all live in.
Description of the position of Student ministries director/pastor:
• This person will oversee the direction of our Student ministries, 6th through college.
• Responsibilities include: providing vision for both the youth and college ministry
• Establishing caring relationships with all students
• Recruit, train and shepherd volunteer teams with diverse gifts and personalities
• Selection of curriculum for all student ministries
• Overseeing the planning, production and follow-up of the youth ministry calendar.
• Provide appropriate discipleship ministry for a mid week meeting of our college ministry
• Develop strong connections with parents, local schools and leaders from other local Churches
• Plan, administer and track the student ministries budget
• Seek to creatively integrate student ministries into all phases of the Church
• Other duties as discussed and developed in concert with the Lead pastor
• Experience and interest in Worship leadership would be supremely beneficial, but in no way required

PLEASE NOTE: If a candidate’s strengths and desires lie in one particular area, it is certainly possible that he/she could focus much more “hands on” in that area and give oversight to other areas where direct contact with students was done by a committed / trained volunteer or team.

• A deep and growing personal faith in Jesus Christ, a teachable spirit, healthy family life
• A love for students, a passion to help all students discover Jesus through worship and Scripture,
• Passion for evangelism and outreach, specifically to students, personally and at the ministry level
• Capable of creating and executing a long term vision for BHFMC student ministries
• Familiar with how to create and lead teams
• Willing to work closely with the BHFMC pastoral staff in areas of collaboration and planning for the fulfilling of the Church’s overall mission.
• Self motivated leader with a strong work ethic, willing to take instruction and follow through on projects.
• An engaging teacher, with a strong Biblical and theological background, who is in agreement with the doctrine of the Free Methodist Church

• Loving students toward discipleship
• Compelling students toward evangelism
• Leading students into worship
• Continuing to grow in your own spiritual walk with the Lord
• Supporting the lead pastor in the overall administration of the local kingdom work
• Attend services and staff meetings on a weekly basis

If applicable and agreed upon, the candidate should be comfortable as an associate to the lead pastor including, pulpit supply, member visitation, visitor follow-up, or other ministerial duties assigned by the lead pastor.

Will vary by experience and candidates ability to meet the needs of BHFMC
