Job Description:
Job Summary
The Web Developer is responsible for supporting the existing web infrastructure as well as developing new technologies and implement new templates. This position is also responsible for developing Web applications and testing them on various browsers, enhancing and modifying them as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user and that the website meets performance objectives.

Essential Responsibilities of the Position
• Work on assigned projects to include web layout enhancement, website enhancement, new web-based application and supporting database
• Design, develop, maintain, document and monitor enterprise website
• Design and develop websites ensuring optimization and in compliance with technical specifications
• Assist in search engine optimization
• Monitor site technical performance and web server to meet service level objectives
• Program web pages utilizing CSS and XHTML and programming other languages including JavaScript, SQL and PHP and combinations of languages
• Work in a variety of development frameworks including .NET & DNN
• Work with various database systems including MySQL, and SQL Server and frameworks including ADO and ODBC
• Create a company-wide Intranet, allowing data manipulation for each internal staff member
• Maintain and enhance existing Web applications and ensure all internal systems are integrated
• Integrate social networking sites into one automated and cohesive environment

Bachelors degree in a computer science field. Alternatively, an Associates degree and five years of hands on experience

Related Work Experience
• Five years experience in developing and maintaining enterprise websites
• Experience managing web application development projects
• Five years experience with programming languages including XML and PHP
• Five years experience with SQL tools including database design, development and performance tuning

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Working knowledge of Windows major operating systems
• Desire to stay updated on current and new technologies
• Ability to multitask with strong time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability with software graphics manipulation
• Ability to adapt and apply new techniques and technology
• Keen awareness of advancing internet and computer technology and its effects to the business environment
• Must be thorough and precise
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to adjust work schedule to meet project deadlines
