Job Description

Role: To fill and reproduce small groups at Parkway Fellowship

Qualifications for the pastoral position must include but are not limited to:
1) Mature Christ-follower
2) Working knowledge of God’s Word
3) Extravagant financial giver
4) Understanding of the books:
a. Activate by Nelson Searcy
b. Purpose Driven Church by Rick Warren
5) Fulfills the Biblical requirements in 1 Timothy 3:1-7 & Titus 1:5-9
6) Exercises the characteristic of humility
7) Proficiency with web-based software

Responsibilities of the pastoral position include but are not limited to:
• Continually cast vision and importance of the small groups ministry
• Analyze current small group semester for right, wrong, missing, and confusing
• Set accurate goals for number of small groups, leaders, and sign ups for each semester
• Maintain 90% of members signed up for a small group each semester (80% during summer)
• Maintain 55% of regular attenders signed up for a small group each semester (45% during summer)
• Set the small group system calendar out one year in advance (adult, youth & children small groups)
• Develop an effective small group team leader/coaching structure
• Track small group attendance
• Continually identify future small group leaders
• Recruit the appropriate number of small group leaders for every semester
• Train all small group leaders with a one time pre-semester training and ongoing training through out
• Produce a user-friendly small group catalog each semester
• Maintain an effective one step sign up system for all small group (adult, youth & children small groups)
• Help guide small group leaders to choose effective curriculum for their small group
• Write and film the small group curriculum for the Fall sermon series
• Create a sense of urgency every sign up month by effectively communicating the state of the small groups ministry
• Provide on-going training of leaders and future leaders through out the semester
• Continually look into the future to project the health of small groups ministry
• Structure small group ministry in Fellowship One (church software)
