Job Description:
Youth Pastor who will provide:
LEADERSHIP
Training and developing youth leadership
Recruit and train adult volunteers
PASTORAL
Provide counseling to youth
Assist in worship services when requested
Develop and oversee middle and high school Sunday school program
Develop and plan weekly youth program
Plan and coordinate special events such as mission trips, outreaches and fundraisers
Encourage family involvement and support
GOALS
Develop separate junior and senior high programs
Participate in the life of the congregation
ADMINISTRATIVE
Assist the pastoral team in establishing guidelines for continuity in spiritual learning and growth
Oversee the youth program budget

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Have a strong compassionate heart for the spiritual welfare of youth
Capable of developing and articulating a God-centered vision for a strong youth program
Demonstrate solid Biblical knowledge in responding to daily issues of youth
Maintain a consistent program that embraces the cooperation and input of youth
Understands that each youth group has a unique culture and therefore uses the specific culture to attract youth and parents
Understands that youth respond to high demands and major commitment to the group
Capable of counseling youth as the need arises. "Be there" for them.
Understands the main tenets of the Mennonite denomination
Uses God's direction and guidance to develop youth ministry in the areas God is leading
