~This person must be convinced that God has a definite call on his life to vocational ministry.
~This person must be skilled in the leading of corporate worship.
~This person will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of all worship events.
~This person will provide oversight and leadership to all music groups and teams and to the technology staff.
~This person will work closely with the Elder Council in the planning, and execution of
“All-Church” special events.
~Must meet the qualifications for an Elder. (I Tim. 3, Tit. 1)
~Must have an authentic walk with Christ and be a man of integrity.
~Must have a passion for the Truth of the Scriptures.
~Must be bold, courageous and persevering.
~Must be proven in leadership skills. ~Must be a skilled musician.
~Must possess an ability to connect with the congregation.
~Must have the ability and desire to train up leaders under him.
~Must have the personality to promote and rally support.
~Must have a solid grasp and application of the Scriptures.
~Must be humble in his position on the Elder Council. ~Must be able to work well with a broad range of personality types.
~Must be a team player.
~Must be approachable and open to the ideas and musical styles of others.
~Must have an enthusiastic and positive spirit toward this local body and the work of God.
4. Summary of Responsibilities: (Includes, but not limited to)
~Weekly Elder Meetings ~Planning and execution of all worship services ~Oversight of all permanent A.V. equipment and Staff ~Oversight of all Musical teams and events
~Planning, oversight and execution of “All-Church” special events
~Execution of any shared “pastoral” assignments such as counseling, teaching, weddings, funerals, hospital visitation, etc…
