This position will be focused solely on the spiritual health of our families. It is not that of a youth or children’s pastor, but rather that of an administrator who will be responsible for oversight and leading of those respective ministries while at the same time partnering with families and developing strategies that will promote reaching and building families.
•Communicating and leading the development of spiritually healthy families.
•Creating and implementing a strategy to reach families within our community.
•Administrating ministries / processes that contribute to family life. This would include, but not be limited to, children’s and teen ministries.
•Training, supporting, developing and recruiting volunteer staff to lead the various ministries. (This position might have to fill gaps in these ministries initially.)
•Pursuing the personal development of gifts and passions and utilizing them as needed within the church as a whole.
•Involvement in some pastoral duties (preaching, visitation, administration) as needed, and as directed by the Senior Pastor
•Involvement in the planning, budgeting and evaluation process for ministries under his charge and oversight
•Accountable to the Senior Pastor under the oversight of the Board of Elders
•Will work closely with Elders, Deacons and other staff and volunteers at WCC
•Character: Consistent with Biblical qualifications for Elder
•Experience: Preferred 5 years experience in family, youth, and/or children’s ministry
•Doctrine: Consistent with and in support of WCC Constitution
•Job Skills: A creative individual gifted in leadership, administration, shepherding and communication
•Family Life: A stable home situation that would exemplify the values and objectives that we hope to achieve in this ministry.
•Education: A bachelor’s level of education or equivalent with coursework in family, youth and children’s ministries
