We are an outreach-focused, multi-staff church of around 800-1,000 people in attendance at our 3 week-end services located in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago (Orland Park, IL). The youth program sees around 120 students each year with an average attendance of around 30-45 students. This fall we will be entering a brand-new facility with three areas designed to accommodate youth programs and outreach in our gymnasium, youth worship center (with full sound and lighting) as well as youth ‘hang-out’ areas (with lots of tables and comfy chairs, coffee/snack bar, and gaming).
Applicants should meet all biblical requirements, be called to do youth ministry, and have an outward-focus in the ministry passions. The gifting of this candidate should be in areas of leadership, teaching, relationship-building, and administration.
Applicants should have at least 3-5 years experience in youth ministry, preferably in a larger church setting (or working with a youth ministry of 20+ students). A master’s degree completed or in process is preferred, but negotiable based on experience. While a reformed background is not integral, applicants must be accountable to Reformed Church of America, Calvary’s Consistory and the Executive Pastor as direct supervisor.

General Description of Responsibilities:
Primary responsibilities are to oversee both Jr. High and Sr. High ministries. The focus of the position is working directly with High School and leading/delegating Jr. High through a part-time employee and volunteer team. Leading youth ministries through Vision-casting and creating strategies, goals and structure to achieve the vision of the youth ministry in line with the vision of Calvary Church: helping and healing the hurting. Each major area should be viewed through the lens of achieving the church and the youth ministry’s vision as follows:
• Recruit, train and lead student ministry volunteers
• Present sound biblical teaching
• Direct the planning of all 212 programming
• Recruit and empower High School students take on leadership
• Initiate and build relationships with students and their parents
• Maintain and supervise evangelism and mission projects
• Collaborate with other churches, schools and organizations in our community
• Lead and Delegate Junior High Program
• Interact and Synergize with Calvary Church staff
• Participate in Consistory and Elders
