(Including the fact that the supervisor is actually pretty cool - but still demanding - and the job, while definitely challenging and sometimes chaotic, has the potential to be as exciting as you want to make it.)
By title, 12Stone® Church is seeking a full time Redemptive Arts Director for Children’s Ministry. That’s a long title to say we’re looking for someone to join our children’s ministry team to develop and lead the creative and production side of our weekly worship experience for kids in K5 to 5th grade. By description we’re seeking an extremely confident, wildly creative, tech savvy individual who is more concerned about people than production.
You might be:
-A recent college graduate with a background in Bible, education, communication, video production, or other corporate experience you know would translate into the church.
-The go to planner for all the events of your family and friends.
-Producing and editing your own video or web content.
-Thinking, “This is pretty good, but I can make it even better.”
-Passionate about seeing kids develop a personal relationship with Jesus.
-Able to recognize talent, engage volunteers and develop them for ministry.
-Serious about giving ministry away not just doing ministry yourself.
-Over-the-top tech and video savvy, able to communicate with digital learners.
-Wildly creative but able to bring your ideas to fruition.
-A strong written and verbal communicator, able to express timeless truth in a way kids can understand.
-Excited about involving kids in ministry.
-Teachable, willing to learn and grow.
You would be:
-Working in one of the fastest growing churches in the country. (That’s not as glamorous as it sounds. It usually means you’ll work harder and get to do more with less)
-Developing and overseeing the production of Stage 12, our weekly worship experience for elementary age children.
-Creating an environment that is fun and attractive to kids; a place kids will want to be.
-Providing for the enlistment, care, training, and evaluation of all elementary production volunteers.
-Creating experiences that are easily transferable and exportable to multiple campuses.
-Reporting to the Children’s Pastor and working with the children’s ministry team in brainstorming and ideation to provide direction for the children’s ministry at large.
