Job Description:
Christian Life Center is seeking a full time Youth Pastor / Senior High Pastor with a passion to lead our senior high students and an exceptional volunteer team. We are located in the heart of the Miami Valley, just north of Dayton, Ohio at the “Crossroads of America.”. CLC is a growing church that averages 2400 for our weekend services on Saturday and Sunday. Our senior high students (currently averaging 100) meet on Sundays and Tuesdays.

Primary responsibilities of this position are:

• Tuesday nights. This is the main youth service each week where believers and non-believers gather to experience God through worship/altar/the Word. This includes effective and relevant programming and media integration.
• New believers. Facilitating a class or curriculum for new believers to be assimilated into the knowledge of Christ, and the community life of CLC and the Sr. High youth ministry.
• Outreach/School Ministry. Conducting outreaches and being involved (as much as possible) in local schools to build relationships and increase impact/visibility of the Sr. High youth ministry and CLC within the community.
• Sunday School. In-depth teaching/discussion that would continue to mature youth in discipleship.
• Small Groups. Another important tool for community and belonging, but they also help accountability, and discipleship.
• Leadership Development. Focusing on Adult and Student leadership teams, and developing them to lead in the many areas of the Sr. High youth ministry as well as CLC.
• Worship teams. Overseeing and developing worship teams that should primarily consist of youth.
• Events. Using events, whether social (bonfires, dodgeball, etc) or ministry (mission trips, camps, conventions, and retreats) to further strengthen connections with students and God.

Job requirements include a Bachelors Degree, experience in leading teams and a passion to serve youth. This position will be accountable to our Family Life Director.

TITLE: Youth Pastor / Senior High Pastor
REPORTS TO: FAMILY LIFE DIRECTOR
Full Time/Exempt/Salaried

PURPOSE:
To Pastor the Sr. High students of Christian Life Center by providing leadership and oversight in order to reach students with the love of Christ, to equip and help them grow in their faith, to challenge them to discover their ministry, to connect them with other Christians and honor God with their life.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
1. Accountability: The Senior High Pastor is directly accountable to the Family Life Director of Christian Life Center. He/she is also accountable for all official and functional procedures and policies of Christian Life Center. This position remains ultimately accountable to the Lead Pastor of Christian Life Center.

2. Cooperation: The Senior High Pastor is expected to engage in mutual cooperative actions and relationships with the staff and the congregation of the church.

3. Loyalty: The loyalty and support to the Lead Pastor and the rest of the staff is absolutely necessary. On occasion you may not agree with the philosophy or procedure used, but your total support is necessary.

• Spiritual maturity and commitment to a Christian lifestyle and to CLC’s Excellence in Ministry values
• Attends weekly service and is actively involved in serving opportunities at CLC

• Gifted Communicator
• Experience in leading teams: equip, train and develop key leaders
• Ability to develop and maintain organizational structure
• Ordained or licensed minister with Assemblies of God
• Education B.A. required

• Events. Using events, whether social (bonfires, dodgeball, etc) or ministry (mission trips, camps, conventions, and retreats) to further strengthen connections with students and God.

GENERAL:
• Provide quality youth event at least 1 time a month
• Continually evaluate mid-week service, Next Step class, small groups and events to ensure effectiveness
• Oversee paid staff: responsible for hiring, developing and evaluating these individuals
• Be a fully integrated member of the Family Life team, working to integrate Sr. High with other CLC ministries.
• Provide opportunities for students to serve within the church
• Provide opportunities for students to engage in outreach in our the community and our world
• Encourage the Biblical principle of tithes and offerings
• Write annual Strategic Ministry Plan and update goals on a quarterly basis
• Write annual budget for Sr. High Ministries
• Fulfill general pastoral duties for Christian Life Center such as weddings, funerals and congregational care
• Participate in the leadership and implementation of all-church events as necessary
