Job Title: Database Manager (ACS Application Manager)

Alpharetta First United Methodist Church has recently licensed and begun to implement ACS software across many aspects of our organization. We have implemented finance, activities, groups, prayer group support, attendance kiosks, and calendaring. We are looking forward to the implementation of additional modules such as enhanced web, member self-service, event registration, volunteering, and e-donations.
We seek an individual who can join a staff of approximately 25 to serve as the ACS Application Manager. In this role, he or she would be responsible for:
o Serving as expert user and lead administrator for all aspects of ACS software
o Performing as project manager for the rollout of the remaining modules and functionality
o Conduct all system operations including routine reporting, security profiles, and account management
o Ensuring best data quality and security both through technical and process means
o Supporting staff requests to utilize the application to further the church’s mission and activities
o Supervising a team of volunteers providing services ranging from data entry to implementation support
The position will report directly to the Church Administrator, but also interface with other committees, including the Technology Committee.
The primary qualification will be prior experience with the software, demonstrated success with implementation activities, and ability to partner with staff to drive church missions. A formal Information Technology Degree is not required but may be helpful. Experience with other IT duties such as web development or infrastructure management is a plus.
We envision this role being between 20-30 hours per week, and so welcome a range of candidates, and job-share options.
