We are looking for a detail oriented person who can serve in our finance department as Controller. This is a paid position working 40 hours week, with benefits. Applicants should have a heart for the church and be able to function in a professional capacity. The Controller would be responsible for the day-to-day management and processing of financial activities. The ideal candidate would have 7+ years experience in accounting and finance management. He/she would participate in tracking and monitoring of finance goals as well as strategic planning. Some duties would include preparing reports, forecasting, financial analysis and reporting, bank reconciliations, manage and prepare budgets, internal controls, oversee A/P and A/R, and fixed asset management. He/she would be expected to manage and report cash flow, provide statistical data and trend analysis regarding costs, budget variances, and profitability. While we want an analytical person we also require someone who can apply their excellent interpersonal skills to interface with Directors, Finance Board, and staff. Additional requirements include outstanding skills in organization, multi-tasking, customer service, and computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Shelby is a plus.
