Job Description:
BridgePoint Bible Church (BPBC) is searching for a full-time Pastor of Student Ministries to lead the middle school and high school ministries toward students’ growth in walking with God, loving others, sharing Christ, and giving selflessly. Experience in a formal student ministry is preferred … (the lawyer on the search committee made us put all that in) …. What we really want is someone who will expose our youth to the mind-blowing, life-altering person of Jesus Christ and who will lead the youth group to explode beyond all expectations.

After 70 years, we moved into a new location 4 years ago; and we are growing in all areas. Our weekly attendance is typically 600+ with ~100 students split evenly between H.S. and M. S. youth groups. We are seeking a leader who will continue the strong Bible teaching and Missions focus that characterize us, but who also has the vision, passion and vitality to take our youth beyond anything we’ve experienced before.

Our qualifications are pretty simple: we are looking for a David/Daniel in a King Saul package.
• A man after God’s own heart;
• whose love for God is not merely attractive but contagious;
• who doesn’t apologize or back down from God’s truth regardless of the circumstances and looks for opportunities to trust God in everyday situations;
• who inspires others to holiness and understands that the purpose of fun is to create opportunities for life-changing decisions to be made;
• a genuine pastor/shepherd who loves his flock in servant leadership;
• all wrapped up in a dynamic and engaging personality.

Responsibilities are pretty much everything you would normally expect in a Youth Pastor position:
• teach;
• plan & oversee weekly events, activities, camps and mission trips;
• build individual relationships as well as community in our youth fellowship;
• disciple kids;
• develop leaders;
• reach out to unchurched and disenfranchised youth;
• involve families;
• sing, dance and juggle while riding a unicycle; etc… (seriously, did you expect anything different?)
