Christian Education Director

Job Description:
The First Congregational Church of Ramona is a dynamic, growing Christian community devoted to loving God and loving people. We are the largest UCC congregation in the Southern California Nevada Conference with two worship services averaging over 200 in attendance every Sunday and growing. We have a healthy Sunday School ministry, weekly youth group gatherings, and regular adult opportunities for education and fellowship. We are seeking a new Christian Education Director who will continue to nurture the spiritual and numerical growth of the church through the ministry of Christian Education for all ages. The primary focus of the position will be the Sunday School ministry and launching and leading a comprehensive Small Group ministry for adults. We desire someone who is organized, creative, purpose-driven, and effective at communicating and recruiting/training volunteers. The individual will be a team player who can work with our Youth Ministry Director, Sacred Arts Director, and our new pastor who is helping to lead the church through a visioning process as we continue to grow and expand. Position is part-time (20 hrs/wk), looking towards being full-time in the near future. Salary is $15k/year with paid vacation and travel expenses.
