•Completed a Master’s degree or higher education
•Appropriate professional experience for a worship-driven church model; marking excellence for this position.
•High capacity leadership; team builder able to build a consensus among musicians as well as other creative arts departments from all campuses.
•Able to train and mentor worship leaders from other Woodside campuses
•Models creative expertise in worship leading, music theory and platform presence based in solid theological foundation.
•Has a rich personal Biblical knowledge, skill and life experience.
•An expert in creative musical composition, choral and instrumental conducting.
•Able to thoroughly think through and develop a weekly holistic worship environment through music, drama, dance, video, and lighting; all complimenting the sharing of the Scriptures through the weekly teaching and preaching.
•Able to draw high capacity volunteers into ministry
Meet weekly with Campus Worship Directors for collaboration
•Service review – worship set, song selections, transitions, create elements, connecting with worshippers
•Service development- Production Assistant’s evaluation
•Brainstorm ways to solve recruiting challenges: internships for worship arts leaders/vocalists/instrumentalists
•Brainstorm opportunities to plug new leaders into (Kids/students/Vocals)
Mentoring for Yourself as Worship Arts Pastor:
•Secure significant relationships with other area Worship Pastors for encouragement, accountability, personal growth and professional development
•Review worship services and do a self-evaluation, review Production Assistant evaluations, get Worship Director’s feedback and Senior leadership evaluation
•Spiritually – growing, deepening relationship with the Lord, evidenced through platform presence and communicated to worshippers and modeled to campus worship directors
Mentoring for Worship Directors:
Meet for weekly mentoring meeting – phone or in person with each leader
•Praying and growing together in Christian character and depth of spiritual understanding
•Have Production Assistant’s set up videotaping of campus worship services – to review with campus worship directors
•Review services – affirm growth, strengths, discuss areas needing improvement, listen to challenges, etc.
•Review campus recruiting /leadership development for worship arts
•Establish relationship with Colleges to attract students who are looking for development opportunities – set them up in Students, Children’s and other appropriate opportunities that arise
•Research churches who can help you with resourcing…continuing educational opportunities for Worship directors (training/resources/transitions/creative elements/connecting with the worshipper)
•Recruit leaders through in house opportunities (worship ministry fair/bulletin/Woodside News/web/worship e-news/lobby presence)
