Job Description:
Journey Church is considering 1 full time position for the Adult Worship and Student Ministries Pastor or 2 Part-Time postions split into a Worship Pastor and a Youth Pastor. When appling please be sure to indicate your interest in which of the 3 positons you are applying for, thanks.

Adult Worship and Student Ministries Pastor (Full Time)
We are looking for a unique individual that can lead two areas of ministry. This individual will have a special gift of leadership and passion that can incorporate the leading of adults in our creative arts worship ministry, and the leading of students in our middles school and high school ministries. OVERALL - We are looking for a follower of Jesus with a missional mindset who can combine these two passions and gifts with creativity to engage people and help them encounter the grace, truth, and wonder of God.

WORSHIP PASTOR ROLE:
Goals:
- to lead our modern, multi purpose connection services using live musicians and vocalist.
- to lead worship using songs written to Glorify God.
- to lead performance music (popular, relevant, and life-centered) as illustrations and set-ups for topics and sermon series.
- to engage and lead a large volunteer team of musicians and vocalist in the above goals with excellence.

Qualifications:
1. Prior ministry experience preferably in a newer church setting
2. Musical proficiency on at least one lead instrument and ability to read and arrange music
3. Self-initiator who is organized and responsible
4. Ability to recruit and lead teams of people as well as identify and develop other leaders
5. Has a passion to understand, embrace, and engage the culture
6. Confident and Engaging stage presence and communication skills.
7. Has an understanding of technical production.

Job Role: This is a Full time staff position for a church in the Lake Norman area. You report directly to the Lead Pastor (or the Co-Pastors in charge). You work side by side with the Tech Director (staff) and the Creative Director (staff). You support primarily our church gatherings (Sundays, the Hub, Events), and will be asked to do other events throughout the year outside of the church.

Responsibilities:
Creative engaging environment for all services/gatherings by overseeing and managing the following areas and the following staff members:
1. Lead and oversee bands and vocalists – (Recruiting, Scheduling, Rehearsing, Chord Charts, Arrangements, Song Selection)
2. Assist in programming and creative planning (Series Planning, Movie Clips, Creative Elements)
3. Manage all equipment and resources required for these areas
**Currently using the following hardware and software: Mac­based, Yamaha Digital Board, Jans­vista lighting console, Adobe Suite, Final Cut Studio, Pro­presenter, Planning Center, etc

STUDENT MINISTER ROLE:
Goals:
- to lead students and to help them discover and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- to lead with creativity in a large group environment, and small group environments
- to lead and plan student events (fun events, mission trips, retreats).
- to engage and lead a volunteer team of adult leaders.

Qualifications:
1. Prior successful student ministry experience preferably in a newer church setting
2. Excellent relationship and communication skills in order to effectively and meaningfully dialogue with youth, their parents, staff, and other volunteer leaders and the church at large
3. Self-initiator who is organized and responsible
4. Ability to recruit and lead teams of people as well as identify and develop other leaders
5. Has a passion to understand, embrace, and engage the culture
6. Confident and Engaging stage presence and communication skills.
7. Has an understanding of technical production.
8. Must be on mission with the ORANGE Family Ministries Program.
9. Event planning and coordination skills, as well as strong organizational and administrative skills

Job Role: This is a part time (growing to full time) staff position for a church in the Lake Norman area. You report directly to the Lead Pastor (or the Co-Pastors in charge). You work side by side with the Children’s Ministry Director (staff). You support primarily our student gatherings (Sundays, the Hub, Events), and will be responsible for other events throughout the year outside of the church.

- Coordinate and Lead weekly student gatherings (middle school and high school) that include a music, multi-media, teaching and small groups
- Build bridges with area public schools
- Organization, administration, and interpersonal relationships
- Recruit, train and lead volunteers, youth leaders and student leaders
- lead outside events (day trips, mission trips, retreats, camps)
- A team player with a positive attitude

Creative Arts Worship Leader (Current Part Time - Full Time Future Role)
