Lead Pastor - Traditional/Blended congregation
Carlisle Brethren in Christ Church (www.carlislebic.org) is located in Carlisle, PA. and is part of the Brethren in Christ denomination (www.bic-church.org). The congregation currently has four Sunday morning worship services. Two services are held in the traditional sanctuary and are more traditional in style and approximately 280 – 300 people attend these services. Two services are held in the new auditorium and are contemporary in style and approximately 700 people attend these services. In addition to the attendance at the worship services, 200 – 300 children meet in Kidmunity, the congregation’s children’s ministry. Total Sunday attendance is approximately 1200 people.
As we look to facilitate future effective ministry we are seeking TWO NEW LEAD PASTORS - a lead pastor for the sanctuary congregation and a lead pastor for the auditorium congregation to join our existing staff team. These lead pastors will be the key pastoral presence in their respective congregations and will be responsible for the leadership, preaching (approx 32-34 times per year), teaching, pastoral connection and care (with the pastor of congregational care), and oversight of various ministry processes that are specific to their congregation (outreach, welcoming, worship, connecting, discipleship, care, etc. - there are other staff to help with these processes). These lead pastors will serve as part of the senior leadership team that also includes a senior pastor and an executive pastor. There are also other pastors on the church staff.
We are looking for suitable qualified and experienced individuals that have proven gifts and abilities and desire to work in a dynamic team environment. The critical gifts they will need are strong leadership and strong preaching/teaching. They must be team-oriented and able to work with the senior pastor and executive pastor. The congregation offers a competitive salary and benefit package. Application is by the submission of a cover letter and resume to email@example.com
