Job Description:
Evangelical United Methodist Church is a growing congregation that averages over 500 people in their Sunday morning worship attendance. EUM is located on the shores of Lake Michigan in Racine, Wisconsin. We are half an hour away from downtown Milwaukee and an hour away from Chicago. We are seeking the right person/couple that are willing to be the lead pastor of our Children’s Ministry. This person/couple must be willing to dream and function within a team concept with other program staff members and the senior pastor. A passionate heart and the ability to build relationships with families and their children is a must!

This position’s priority is to build upon an already strong children’s ministry foundation which includes a Sunday morning average of 90 children and a committed group of 50 adult volunteers. This vision should include:

• Building personal relationships with children and their families.
• Equipping adult volunteers for ministry and leading support staff.
• Translating the present culture of children’s ministry into our church.
• Exciting children about a lifelong relationship with Jesus that they cannot wait to share.
• Assisting the parent in being the child’s spiritual leader.

EUM believes in forming the job around one’s proven/confirmed passions and giftedness. This position, therefore, will have opportunities that extend beyond the primary role of Children’s Minister if so desired.
