Hope Church in Cordova, TN is the 64th largest church in the country with a passion for reaching the "unchurched". Among the 7000 people that attend Hope each weekend are 1000+ children. A team of six paid staff and hundreds of volunteers partner together to minister to these children each weekend. Hope is currently seeking a talented individual that feels called to minister to kids (grades 1-4) to join the Hope for Kids staff. This person should possess leadership skills and experience, organizational abilities, a great work ethic, a desire to work within a team structure, and contagious Christian faith.

General Description: Oversee the large group programming as well as the small group structure for all children in grades one through four. Also, responsible for coordinating volunteers and curriculum for The Stirring Kids program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Shepherd and develop core volunteer leadership team by providing training and growth opportunities. Oversee shepherding of children and volunteers
•Oversee three services each weekend, focusing on evaluating and directing the effectiveness of the elementary program for children in grades one through four
•Secure proper volunteer staffing in the elementary area via a monthly schedule and substitute list
•Prepare (select activities to support each lesson and make revisions as needed) and distribute small group curriculum to all elementary volunteers
•Coordinate and supervise the assembly of all elements (video, music, drama, staging and props) of the elementary large group program
•Edit, revise, and distribute large group scripts
•Recruit and interview large group communicators, coordinators, small group leaders, & teen helpers
•Participate in all pertinent staff meetings
•Ensure that all rooms in the elementary area are organized and set-up prior to the start of the weekend services
•Spiritual Gifts: leadership, administration, shepherding
•Experience: education, ministry, drama/theater
•Skills/Knowledge: team building, production
•Education: college degree in a related field preferred
•Complete additional tasks as assigned by manager.
•Assume a leadership role in all Hope for Kids special events
•Coordinate promotion for grades one through four
•Actively recruit volunteers for all facets of the Hope for Kids ministry
•Help with any church-wide activities, programs, and services
•Champion the mission, vision, and values of the Children’s Ministry
