Southern California non-denominational Christian church seeks dynamic Pastor to lead and grow our youth ministry program for junior high and high school. The mission is to guide and develop staff and students in fulfilling the purposes of service, evangelism, fellowship, discipleship, and worship; implementing strategies and programs to assist in spiritual formation in these five areas. To potentially be a part of the CRB teaching team and speak periodically in main church services.
Ideal Candidate: Significant experience in speaking in a large church setting utilizing strong Biblical teaching skills. Established leader and organizer with a proven track record of growing a ministry and growing those within the ministry toward a mature faith in Jesus Christ. Experience in developing leaders and volunteers to create a relevant and dynamic youth program.
(Teacher) Prepare and teach at weekly church services, weekly home group bible studies, various school campus clubs, volunteer meetings, and at parent meetings/seminars. Periodically teach in main church services.
(Pastor) Shepherd students (one-on-one, school events, sports, etc), parents, training volunteers, campus visitation, small group bible studies, church services, outreach events, mission trips, camps, retreats, and day trips, campus bible studies and/or clubs.
(Administrator) Demonstrate organization and attention to detail. Develop budgets; oversee expenses, plan training, events and trips. Maintain a high level of communication with staff, parents and students (via email, phone, website, facebook and written materials).
(Leader) Oversee staff & volunteer meetings, recruit volunteer staff, develop growth time, train volunteer small group and ministry team leaders, encourage small group leaders to follow-up and shepherd students, research curriculum for bible studies.
(Vision) Develop and maintain a high level of relevant and dynamic programs all designed to ensure growth within the ministry (both in numbers and personal spiritual growth of students and volunteers). Incorporate vision casting into the overall vision of the church as a whole.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS: Coordinate with Pastoral Staff and Management Team in establishing program vision and yearly goals. Serve as spiritual leader to students, staff and volunteers.
WORK WEEK: Non-Traditional with regular office hours.
