Job Description:
Previous leadership experience leading
Christ-Centered Recovery Programs
• 12 step experience preferred (at least 5
years sobriety)
• Masters Degree preferred
• MFT or relevant certification preferred
• Demonstrates servants heart, strong and
growing walk with Christ
• Strong inter-personal & conflict resolution
• Excellent written and verbal
communication skills
• Proven ministry experience recruiting &
working with volunteers and managing
staff within large organizations
• Skilled at developing cross-functional
collaborations and partnerships
• Ability to prioritize care for
people/relationships above results
without sacrificing desired outcomes
• Ability to see ‘big picture’ and
think/operate strategically
• Able to develop and implement a system
that delivers against a vision
• Ability to drive progress while discerning
God’s plans and adapting

Plans, develops, launches, and directs new
Celebrate Recovery Ministry, implementing new
share/step groups as needed and managing day
to day operations of the program.
• Communicates the vision, values, and mission of
the church throughout the various Care &
Recovery Ministry programs.
• Collaborates with the Director of Care Ministry to
ensure effective and efficient management
throughout all Mariners Care & Recovery
• Manages and develops care and recovery
• Oversees Benevolence Ministry which includes
holding values for the process and development
of volunteer team
• Shepherds Pastors of the Day (POD) and equips
them with needed resources while overseeing
• Manages and develops Care & Recovery staff
and volunteer leaders with spiritual growth a
• Documents processes/tools to facilitate exporting
best practices
• Assists with the development and implementation
of 3-5yr Outreach strategic plan
