Job Description:
Associate Pastor of Student Ministries

Assist in the oversight of the youth ministry at KSC in accordance with our vision – primarily responsible for the oversight of the neighborhood youth ministry as well as responsible for oversight of leadership and programming of prayer elements, programmatic and worship teams.

Position Responsibilities:
• Oversee and evaluate the effectiveness of existing Neighborhood Youth Ministry programs (After School Meeting, Basketball Teams, Open Gyms, Skate Park)
• Create a context where students and youth workers of multiple cultures can experience inclusion in the Body of Christ.
• Carry out regular relational contact work with students and their families.
• Develop, implement and evaluate new programs for the Neighborhood Youth Ministry (Perhaps in the arts, ESL, computer labs, cooking…)
• Oversee all aspects of communal prayer, worship, and the arts including the Street Praise Bands, Tech Teams, and Drama Teams.
• Develop programs for mid-week meetings and special events.
• Oversee selection of music and art forms for worship.
• Develop young people in the arts as servants and worshipers (may involve giving lessons, practices, mentoring…).
• Identify, invite and equip adults to work with students.
• Coordinate efforts with overall church emphasis in outreach and worship ministries.
• Communicate clearly with students, volunteers, staff, and church leadership.

Position Requirements
• A strong, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
• A passion to reach and disciple teenagers to love and serve Jesus.
• Degree in Youth Ministries. Holding ministerial credentials, or is moving in the direction of receiving such credentials.
• Experience in youth ministry – particularly in the areas of worship, leading teams, and multicultural outreach ministry.
• Ability to recruit, motivate and train others for leadership in ministry to teenagers.

• Primarily responsible to the Lord Jesus Christ.
• Pastor of Student Ministries.
• Accountability to the church will take place monthly via written reports to the administrative board.
