Position Summary:
Incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive communications strategy to increase the visibility of the organization and broaden awareness of its mission. Incumbent will oversee the publication and advertisement/marketing initiative of three non-profit organizations belonging to one entity and ensure all materials published are properly disseminated while adhering to the non-profit organization’s standards. This individual is responsible for all aspects of the organization’s marketing and communication endeavors.

Job Skills & Requirements:
Christ-centered behavior (treating people with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity at all times).
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Business or English is preferred but not required.
Must have 7-10 years of marketing, communications advertising or public relations experience.
Must have more than 5 years of managing a diverse staff.
Must have measurable experience in developing and meeting budgets.
Must possess outstanding writing and editing skills and the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to supervise projects with tight/short deadlines.
Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative in research, proposing and championing new and better ways of communicating messages and brand values.
Must possess strong interpersonal skills and be able to work well with all levels of church management and congregation.
Excellent Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
Proficient in MS Windows operating systems.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Develop and implement strategic marketing and promotions plans that encompass the organization's events and ministries.
Works with the Executive Team in setting short- and long-term strategic objectives necessary to achieve the goals of the organization.
Maintains an environment in which staff training, turnover and growth adequately matches the organization’s needs.
Ensures that demographic research other relevant activities remain current, and utilizes the results of that research to better serve our constituencies and ensures that our brand and services are on the cutting edge.
Oversees the production and distribution of reports, studies and publications to promote understanding of and support for the organization.
Ensures quality control and compliance with organizational standards for all materials.
Responsible for content and messaging, and/or editing a range of materials that include brochures, mailers, ads, and web content for marketing, communication and public relations.
