We're looking for someone who has a passion for people and for praise and worship who can lead and provide the administrative support necessary so that our gifted vocalists, musicians, and technicians can function together well for God's glory. Worship Arts Director
A growing, independent, evangelical congregation in family-friendly Frankenmuth, Michigan, (between Flint and Saginaw) has an exciting opportunity for a Worship Arts Director. We are seeking a shepherding, team-building, leader-administrator-artist who loves God and people to develop, guide and coordinate existing talented teams who lead the FBC family of believers into corporate worship and encourage our FBC family to live worshipfully in all of life. Experience in leading worship (2-3 years) is desired and the ability to play multiple instruments is preferred. Formal training in music theory and/or composition is considered a plus.

Worship Arts Director
Position Description & Duties

Vision: We’re looking for a God empowered, gifted, and directed person to join our team and become a catalyst within our church family and surrounding community so that outward expressions of worship clearly and regularly reflect the reality of inward changes towards godliness. We believe when this is happening, the area surrounding Frankenmuth, Michigan will be powerfully impacted and the Frankenmuth Bible Church will be widely identified as “God’s” place. Our mission is to make disciples: people trusting Christ and becoming His fully devoted followers. In support of that mission, the Director of Worship Arts will oversee the programming of our Sunday morning services and outreach events and will develop the talent and teams necessary so that all we do is done in a consistently excellent manner to the glory of God.

Desired Gifts, Experience & Beliefs: We’re looking for a team-building servant-leader who is walking with God and modeling a lifestyle that honors God and also evidences: developed musical talent, a creative bent, and training/experience with leading worship, worship service production, and computer related technology. He/she should be able to support whole-heartedly FBCs mission, purposes, values and statement of faith.

Specific duties will include:

1. Developing individuals and teams who work together well to produce high quality FBC worship services and events consistently done with a high degree of excellence and order.

2. Overseeing service & event programming from the inception of creative ideas through the actual production of the service for Sunday am and other meetings / events designed to help fulfill our vision (e.g. special seasonal events, worship team in community events such as local festivals and parades, dramas, dinner theaters, praise and worship concerts etc.)

3. Producing/acquiring graphic art and visual aids to enhance message communication and promotion of FBC ministries, services & events.

4. Providing opportunities for children, youth and adults to develop their gifts and participate in worship and arts in the church.

5. Drafting and submitting a budget and then once approved as part of the FBC Spending Plan working within those set financial parameters for worship arts: equipment, materials, music, props, etc.
