Position: Minister to Youth
Lake Norman Baptist Church (LNBC), a Southern Baptist Church located in Huntersville, NC, is seeking God’s will in calling a Minister to Youth. LNBC is a growing, missions-minded church located in a lake community north of Charlotte, NC. LNBC’s Youth program serves grades 7-12 and is an integral part of our family ministry. At present, approximately 50 youth regularly attend programming and activities including worship, small group Bible studies, fellowships, outreach and mission events, and spiritual growth retreats. This program has the opportunity and expectation to grow in step with other areas of the LNBC ministry.
The Minister to Youth is responsible to the Associate Pastor for the development and administration of the Youth program. The accountabilities of the Minister to Youth are to define, promote, and lead a Christ-centered ministry that develops Disciples of Christ. LNBC’s Youth ministry must keep spiritual growth and well-being of youth and their families at the center of all programming, events and activities. The Ministry must be able to build trust with the youth and their families, enabling the Minister to Youth to introduce youth to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, grow their Christian faith and apply God’s word to their daily lives, learn and express the values of Christian service, assist, and encourage youth to share their faith with others.
The Minister to Youth must promote and communicate the activities, events, and be accountable for the impact of the Youth program to the church, staff, parents, and youth as appropriate. The Minister to Youth must direct on-going programs for Sunday morning and evening, Wednesday evening, youth ministry events, socials, retreats, and trips and will participate in the development of the Youth ministries budget supporting those activities. The Minister to Youth will enlist, oversee and direct the activities and actions of adult volunteers in Youth service and exercise good stewardship in the administration and utilization of the resources God has provided.

• Give evidence of a calling to the ministry and passion to serve the needs of youth
• Must have a college degree and have completed seminary earning a Master’s degree.
