Job Description:
Woodmen Valley Chapel, an evangelical, interdenominational, multi-campus church with an average weekend attendance of 6000 is seeking a full-time Elementary and Creative Programming Coordinator Children's Ministries .

Department: Student Ministries
Reports to: Middle School Director

The Woodmen Heights Women’s Coordinator is responsible for two aspects of the Student Ministries program at the Woodmen Heights campus: young women’s ministry and Ministry Partner development. The person in this position must be outgoing, energetic, and have an ability to connect with a wide variety of both students and adults. She must also demonstrate a thorough “team attitude,” and be able to work with both middle school and high school programs, as well as recruit, train, develop, and encourage a growing team of volunteers.

a. Implements the vision of WVC and the strategy of student ministries into the context of the Woodmen Heights campus community
b. Equips, recruits, connects, and cares for the Woodmen Heights Ministry Partners, specifically females, to carry out the Student Ministries strategy in the lives of students and families
c. Coordinates with both middle school and high school coordinators each week to ensure a high-quality, successful student ministries program
d. Actively participates in both the FUSION and SouledOut large group programs
e. Works with both the middle school and high school coordinators to have a monthly presence in both ministries’ small group environments
f. Shares in teaching responsibilities (as gifting indicates)
g. Actively participates in the weekly ministry programming meetings and staff meetings
h. Assists in the development of camps, retreats, and missions trips as a part of the student ministry staff team
i. Assists the Student Ministries’ Directors in responding to crisis situations with young women as needs occur, with specific focus on the Woodmen Heights community
j. Other duties as requested

Minimum Requirements
k. An ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ demonstrated through regular prayer, Bible study, and worship attendance
l. Gifts in shepherding and leadership; this person must be an equipper, and have demonstrated an ability to take initiative to meet the needs of a growing ministry
m. Minimum two years experience working directly with students (preferably in a ministry setting)
n. A passion for students and their growth in the Lord
o. Must be a woman who has ability to relate to the Middle School and High School age group
p. Must be flexible, faithful, available, teachable and a self-starter
q. Must have administrative skills and ability to follow through with details
r. Ability to operate common office equipment, including copiers, faxes, printers, and multi-line phone system
s. Proficiency in Windows (or Mac OS X), Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and the Internet
t. There will be observable evidence that this individual has a healthy family life. If married, her spouse must be a believer, supportive of her ministry, and involved in the church. It is desirable that this person not be divorced. If single, this individual will display and uphold high moral and biblical standards in her interpersonal relationships.
u. A member of WVC who supports its vision and values, as well as contributes time and tithes

Physical Requirements
v. This position requires a lot of walking, the ability to climb stairs, and occasional light lifting
w. Endurance to maintain a rigorous schedule of activities, as well as keep up with and relate well to students
x. Reliable transportation
