Responsibilities: Ensure that all payment and deposit transactions take place and are recorded in the general ledger accurately. Prepare monthly financials and annual tax statements. Process contributions and create giving statements for donors. Participate and input data for stewardship process. Own and maintain the financial database. Process payroll and benefits with aim towards being employee focused. Maintain employee and vacation records. Assure personnel files are accurate, up to date, filed and secure. Outline current procedures, review and revise as necessary. Assist in creating, maintaining and distributing fiscal policies. Participate as an active member of team that works together to support the Ministerial Staff.
Should be accepting of the Christian faith as expressed in the Confession of Faith found in Colonial’s By-laws.
Atleast 3-5 years experience in a bookkeeping or accounting position.
Proficiency with computers and databases.
Detail oriented, organized, flexible.
Commitment to open and regular communication.
College degree preferred
