Associate Director of Youth Ministries

First Presbyterian Church of Burlingame is located on the San Francisco peninsula within driving distance of San Francisco, Monterey, redwood forests and Lake Tahoe. We are seeking a full-time Associate Director of Youth Ministries to partner with a second Associate Director of Youth Ministries and a dedicated leadership team to provide vision and leadership in ministering to 7th through 12th grade youth. We are looking for someone to step out of their comfort zone and meet students where they are, to work in relationship with the students and their parents. The individual selected will work with the Director of Youth Ministries to build a balanced ministry which includes developing personal relationships with students, developing an adult leadership team, building a small group ministry and working as a team with other adults to create opportunities for youth to deepen and strengthen their faith through involvement with the rest of the church family.

This is a full-time position with benefits.

Salary up to, DOE $35,000 - $45,000
Medical & Dental

Required Qualifications
• Enthusiastic passion for Christ and a deep desire to share the love of Christ with junior high and high school students
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years experience working with middle school and high school students
• Ability to utilize modern communication technologies (text messages, web site)
• Must possess an ability to work with others in partnerships and teams
• Administrative and organizational skills, such as planning, scheduling, project management and event coordination
• Creativity and ability to communicate openly
• Collaborative work style
• Ability to play an instrument, such as a guitar or piano (Preferred)
