Job Description:
The Church Information Analyst (CIA) position is a full-time position to manage data for McLean Bible Church (MBC) and its Integrated Auxiliaries. The data consists of both people and event information and is stored in a number of systems including, but not limited to: Fellowship One (a church information management system), SQL Server, The Raiser’s Edge (a donor management system), and Microsoft Access databases. The data is used for day-to-day church operations and decision making at both the ministry and administrative levels.
Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, maintaining accurate membership lists, event creation and maintenance, event sales materials, event reporting, people/household record management, and duplicate record merging and management. This position is responsible for the creation and maintenance of ministry events that require registration for the event or payment for attending the event at any MBC campus according to documented policies and procedures. Assist with creating events in our event management application as well as necessary point of sale applications. This position is also responsible for making sure that all Campus bookstores have the materials and information necessary to sell registrations and tickets. This position will assist in the maintenance of the data contained in the database, proactively seeking methods to ensure that the data is valid and not duplicated. In addition, this position will perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Requirements: In addition to the minimum educational requirements, excellent problem solving skills and general computer skills are necessary. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Though not required, advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, SQL Server, Crystal Reports, CounterPoint SQL or Fellowship One is a plus. Position requires flexible daily hours, Sunday through Thursday.
