The Executive Pastor of Ginghamsburg Church partners with the Senior Pastor and Leadership Board to dream and deploy all aspects of Ginghamsburg’s mission and ministry and, serving as “chief of staff,” provides the day-to-day staff/process management and organizational engineering to ensure the vision is accomplished. This role also coordinates with and ensures mission alignment among the church and its three 501c3 non-profit affiliates that serve surrounding communities.

-eight weekend worship celebrations on two campuses plus multiple house church opportunities

Education & Experience:
--Master of Divinity degree and ordination as United Methodist clergy preferred
--Proven track record of success in a paid, executive staff leadership position within a megachurch environment (2000+ in attendance) preferred
--Expertise in ministry management and staff organizational development and deployment
--Track record of successful recruitment/equipping/deploying of paid staff and unpaid servants (volunteers)
Skills Required to Succeed:
--Ability to re-engineer and lead organizational structures and systems that will maximize the mission and staff effectiveness; includes ability to lead change
--Ability to recruit, build and deploy effective paid and unpaid teams to accomplish the mission.
--Ability to coach others on how to be strong leaders and managers.
--Understanding of appropriate human resource policies and practices.
--Understanding of budgeting and overall financial management/oversight practices.
--Strong written and spoken communication skills.
--Experience in/ understanding of how to develop/deploy effective discipleship opportunities for all ages.
--Student of lifestyle issues and cultural trends.
--Partner with the Senior Pastor and Leadership Board to dream and deploy all aspects of Ginghamsburg’s mission and ministry; will translate the vision into measurable goals, track goals to completion and build/sustain the systems and organizational structures that will position the staff team for success.
--Give oversight to and provide coordination of the Ginghamsburg Executive Team, including the CFO, COO and Director of Ministries.
--Partner with the Director of Ministries to create/implement the strategy for deploying innovative discipleship and mission opportunities across all ages.
--Partner with the directors of Ginghamsburg’s 501c3 affiliates to ensure mission alignment and cross-coordination.
--Coordinate with the CFO and COO to manage human resource and employment processes across the staff team, including appropriate hiring, performance review, compensation and problem performance processes.
--Partnership with the CFO (and other directors as appropriate) to prepare annual ministry budget for Senior Pastor and Leadership Board approval.
--Partnership with CFO and the Leadership Board Finance Subcommittee ongoing to ensure ministries operate within budget and the church’s financial position remains strong.
--Coordinate the Human Resources Subcommittee of the Ginghamsburg Leadership Board.
--Ensure that workplace processes and internal systems are created and/or maintained to ensure productivity and effectiveness.
--Provide general day-to-day ministry coordination with the campus and teaching pastors, in conjunction with the Senior Pastor.
--Identify and participate in regional and national networking opportunities.
--Serve as a trainer/presenter at conferencing events as appropriate.
--As appropriate, contributes to or creates original curriculum or resources for other churches.
