POSITION TITLE: Technical Arts Audio Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Worship & Arts

PURPOSE: Support CPC Ministries through Technical Arts

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
1. Relationship with Jesus Christ
2. Previous experience as a sound technician mixing on both analog and digital boards
3. Proficiency with digital editing programs including ProTools and Final Cut
4. Working knowledge of video switcher operation
5. Previous experience with lighting
6. Good relational people skills; ability to build and maintain positive and effective relationships with other CPC employees and volunteers
7. Good oral and written (English & grammar) communication skills
8. Working knowledge office software; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
9. Team player (willing to work for the good of the department)
10. Self-motivated with ability to work independently & responsibly
11. Willingness to be flexible in workflow and work schedule
12. A creative spirit
13. Detail oriented
14. A basic understanding of the role of Praise and Worship in the modern church.


JOB DESCRIPTION / DUTIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Manage all aspects of the Tech Arts systems for the Multi Purpose Room (MPR)
2. Help maintain the sound, lighting, and video system equipment related to supporting all worship venues
3. Assist in planning, defining, and implementing technical needs for weekend services, rehearsals, special events and productions
4. Provide input and recommendations for technical system upgrades and improvements
5. Receive periodic training to enhance skills in all technical areas
6. Attend weekly meetings related to CPC staff and planning for weekly services
7. Manage organization and maintenance of all technical equipment, including replacement and repair
8. Recruit, train, and work with volunteers in PowerPoint, audio, and video at various events
9. Lead volunteer technical staff for MPR services, special events and productions as necessary

Working Relationships:
• Reports directly to the Director of Tech Arts
• Assists Director of Tech Arts in managing Tech Interns, tech volunteers, and mentoring & training students as needed
• Works closely on a day-to-day basis with team members of Tech Arts and Worship & Arts Dept.
• Works closely with CPC volunteers as it relates to Tech Arts
• Is an active member of the Worship & Arts ministry team
• Works closely with the staff in other CPC ministries as it relates to tech needs
• Supports other CPC departments in the use of Sanctuary, MPR, and Chapel systems
