Job Description:
Pastor of Community Ministries

A. Qualifications

1. Masters Degree in a relevant area of study
2. A proven leader in the areas of building ministry teams and systems
3. Experience in a church with a weekend attendance of over 1,000
4. Understanding of organizational, web and social media communication
5. Strong communication and analytical skills
6. Excellent interpersonal and shepherding skills.
7. Fully endorse the EFCA Statement of Faith and Constance Constitution with a willingness to pursue credentialing in the EFCA

B. Responsibilities

1. Leadership of Community Ministry Staff
a. Provides synergistic leadership to six departments of ministry (Latino, Care, Small Groups, Children’s, Middle-School, High-School)
b. Implements ministry targets from management team
c. Leads the community staff in annual Ministry Management Plan development
d. Reviews monthly reporting from staff
e. Provides opportunities for staff development
f. Leads the Community Staff in the development of annual ministry schedules
g. Leads the Community Staff in the development of ministry budgets

2. Management Team Participation
a. Participates as a member of the Executive Pastor’s management team in the areas of communication, marketing, strategic planning, policy compliance and generosity development.
b. Participates in weekly Teaching Pastor meeting

3. Pastoral Ministry Oversight
a. Depending upon gifting and ministry passion, a specialized area of ministry will be given direct oversight by this position. (The nature of this responsibility will fit to the allotted time available)
b. Participation in the shepherding and sacerdotal responsibilities of the pastorate.

C. Time Commitment

This is currently a full-time position with expectation that time will be allocated to the above responsibilities approximately as follows:

Leadership of Community Staff 50%
Management Team 15%
Pastoral Ministry Oversight 35%

D. Relationships

1. Reports directly to the Executive Pastor
2. Peer Relationships to members of the Management Team
3. Oversees the Community Ministry Staff
